Fisherman’s Wharf is one of the tourist hubs of San Francisco, USA.

It has an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, and local nuttiness that makes it a pleasant spot to spend the afternoon. Dining options include the Hard Rock Cafe, Bubba Gump’s Shrimp Company, and Johnny Rockets, but it is highly recommended to try Boudin’s for their famous clam chowder-filled bread bowls.

San Francisco is known for crab, so if not Boudin’s, there are several outdoor stands where you can grab a crab cake sandwich. This is also a shoppers paradise. Cheap Alcatraz T-shirts or San Francisco Giants gear is all over the place. Sites to check out include the seals that reside there, a local celebrity – The World Famous Bushman (along with other street performers), and the Musee Mecanique, a museum of antique carnival games.

Fisherman’s Wharf is also only a brief walk to the Maritime Museum at Hyde Street Pier, the Powell-Hyde cable car line, and Alcatraz tour departures.
