I went alone last summer (06). I met some wonderful people…I liked it so much, that I am going on the London + Paris trip next week (alone again).

Grand Canyon was amazing in my eyes. Words can really describe it and photos just don't do it justice. I'm so glad I did a helicopter Ride over it.

Christmas Markets in Vienna are great. Buy some mulled wine (Gluhwein in German)which is served hot and is quite spicy. The mug it comes in is yours to keep - a great souvenir -but if you don't want it return it and get your €2 deposit back (Pfand).
