Stretching from Rock of Gibraltar in Spain, East across to Greece and Turkey, the Mediterranean is not just a stretch of water – it’s a lifestyle.

The beautiful, famous and romantic coast of the sea also provides France, Monaco, Italy, Croatia and Egypt with some incredible coastlines but throughout it’s diversity there remains one constant – a relaxed lifestyle centered around food and the sun.

Blue, wet and salty, this body of water is conducive to women taking their tops off and men breaking out their speedos and during the summer the Mediterranean is the home of European beach culture.

Siestas and light, sometimes spicy foods, often drenched in olive oil accompanied by fish, tomatoes and a whole host of sea foods, pasta, rice and salad dishes make up the diet of those blessed enough to live along it’s coast. Many attribute it to the food or perhaps it’s just the relaxed attitude to life that allows the Mediterraneans inhabitants to live such long lives.

Famous islands, resort towns and beaches along the Mediterranean include Valencia, Barcelona, Ibiza, Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco, Capri, Dubrovnik and the Greek Islands.

No trip to Europe is complete without least a taste of pure Mediterranean magic!
