Capital and ‘Queen’ of the Cote d’Azur region of French Riviera, Nice is situated on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea and is the quintessential European beach vacation destination.
Famous for it’s long summers, great weather, beautiful beaches and amazing blue waters, it is only a short train or bus ride from other Riviera destinations (such as Cannes, Antibes and Monaco.) A town of around 100,000 people, the population swells during the summer months when people from all over Europe (typically the English and Italians) flood in for the beaches, summer sun and relaxed lifestyle.

They’re not joking about the “pebble” beaches – I consider it more like fist size rocks! Just make sure you have water shoes/sandles otherwise it can be near unbareable getting to the water – oh, and you can buy beach mats along the coast or rent a lounge chair if you dont like lying on rocks!
