Contiki highly recommends having a travel insurance policy that covers:

• Cancellation and Curtailment
• Loss of and/or damage to luggage
• Loss of money (cash), travellers cheques or personal belongings
• Medical insurance

If you are bringing along expensive items such as jewelry or photographic equipment, check the value per item is covered by your travel insurance. If the coverage for these items is minimal you may wish to take out extra coverage on these items.

If you are participating in winter sports, it is highly recommended that your travel insurance covers this also.

Travel insurance can be obtained when you book through Contiki, through your travel agent or through insurance companies themselves.
